Request Work - How to submit (e.g. submit request to Engineering Department)


Introduction
Work Requests are jobs that are most often allocated to another person or another team.
New work requests can be created on both Desktop computers and on Mobile phones.
Depending on your user permissions and your user preferences, you may see different screens or different data when creating new work requests.

All Work Requests require the following information:- 
  1. An asset (which could be a room or location)
  2. A category of work request
  3. The priority, the work source, the work type
Optionally, comments and photos can be added.  
With a supported PMS interface, the system will include occupied guest information for guest room requests.

There are 2 ways of creating new work requests - either Icon Navigation or Quick Submit.  See the section below on how to change your preferences to your preferred method.

How to switch between Icon Navigation and Quick Submit
The system provides two navigation preferences to submit a new work request. Icon Navigation (enabled by default) or Quick Submit.

Icon Navigation allows you to select icons to locate the asset, and icons to select the request task.
Quick Submit shows no icons and instead lists of assets and lists of tasks.

To switch Icon Navigation  and Quick Submit, please follow these steps:

How to create a Work Request on Desktop (with Icon Navigation)
To create a new request on Desktop with Icon Navigation, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Request List page (Requests > List - Submit Request)

  2. Click the Add Request button


  3. Click the QR Code button to scan the QR code for this asset, room or location

    or

  4. Select the Asset Register icon or use the search to enter keywords





  5. Select the task or defect icon


  6. Select the task or defect or use the search to enter keywords



  7. Provide additional information then click the "Save" button to submit 




How to create a Work Request on Desktop (with Quick Submit)
To create a new request on Desktop with Quick Submit, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Request List page (Requests > List - Submit Request)

  2. Click the Add Request button


  3. Click the QR Code button to scan the QR code for this asset, room or location

    or

  4. Select the asset, room or location or use the search to enter keywords

  5. Select the task or defect or use the search to enter keywords


  6. Provide additional information then click the "Save" button to submit 



How to create a Work Request on Mobile (with Icon Navigation)
To create a new Work Request on Mobile using the Quick Submit settings, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Reactive Work > Submit Request



  2. Click the QR Code button to scan the QR code for this asset, room or location
    or
  3. Select the Asset Register icon or use the search to enter keywords



  4. Select the task or defect icon



  5. Select the task or defect or use the search to enter keywords



  6. Provide additional information then click the "Save" button to submit 





























How to create a Work Request on Mobile (with Quick Submit)
To create a new Work Request on Mobile using the Quick Submit settings, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Reactive Work > Submit Request



  2. Click the QR Code button to scan the QR code for this asset, room or location

    or

  3. Select the asset, room or location or use the search to enter keywords

  4. Select the task or defect or use the search to enter keywords


  5. Provide additional information then click the "Save" button to submit
