What is the integration between BPN and Sidekick?

Integration between BPN Maestro allows for 2-way data flow between the BPN Guest Request module and Sidekick work request module.

After configuration, new requests created in BPN will be automatically created in Sidekick using all the same rules if the request was submitted directly in Sidekick.

When the request is actioned in Sidekick, the status changes are sent back to BPN.

If the work request was created in Sidekick, BPN won’t know about this work request and no updates will be sent to BPN.

Frequently Asked Questions

When a work request is submitted in BPN, how will Sidekick notify the employee?
Using the same rules as when the work request is created directly in Sidekick.
Sidekick will apply the same automatic allocation and notification rule to all new work requests.
How does BPN show the outstanding and completed work requests?
The same way it shows now without Sidekick integration.
Sidekick will return status changes from the work requests, see below in this document for the status codes and comments.
What are the fees?
There is no fee from Q2 for this integration.
How do I enable the integration?
The integration is not enabled by default.  Please create a ticket or email Q2 support for assistance.
Do I need more training? What is going to change?
After the integration is enabled, we recommend the Engineering team use Sidekick for all work requests, planned work etc.  This is the same as now.

All other teams in the hotel use BPN Maestro to submit new work requests.  So other departments will need training in BPN.
Is there any initial configuration required?
After enabling integration, BPN will automatically synchronize assets (rooms, locations, etc) and request descriptions from Sidekick.
So there is no manual configuration needed.
What happens if we create new rooms or new request descriptions?
BPN will periodically synchronize data from Sidekick.  So new configuration in Sidekick will automatically appear in BPN.
Which languages are supported?
Right now, only the English language is supported.  We are already working on full multiple language support.
Are photos and images supported?
In V19, photos and images are not supported.  We plan on releasing this feature soon.
